The Talbot 90 team get away from the start. Hugh Eaton got away to a flyer with Brian Lewis (in dark helmet looking back to check on the OMs)) second and Johnny Hindmarsh nearest to the camera. By the time they reached Mountjoy corner at the end of the long straight, they had closed right up and Lewis as in the lead by the end of the lap. You can see the mechanics have no aero screen, which encouraged them to keep low out of the wind.
