See previous comment but note the S/C engine which was pressure fed had a crank case that was sufficiently modified not to have the oil jet cover bolts. David Howe

An excellent shot of the supercharged engine in its revised position, allowing for the supercharger to sit behind the radiator. Very clear is the gear drive for the supercharge taken from the magneto drive. No doubt moving the engine back, I think between 10" to 12", will have brought benefits in other ways and assisted in the cars weight distribution,it will also have taken up some of the slack caused by extending the wheelbase by 12".
