    A scene during the Relay Race, in which cars were paired by ballot. Earl Howe carrying a plug removed from the engine of his Mercedes after completing a lap, for fitting in the engine of his partner's Austin, whose driver waits expectantly. Car 21 is G Harvey Noble's Salmson, and on the far side is E J Knight's Mercedes.
