Certainly this is my car (UC3933), but I've never claimed it to be Marendaz Special No.1, as cars ran under that name in1925, yet this car didn't appear at Brooklands until Spring 1926. It was the first to have the mini-Bentley style radiator, so maybe the other were badge-engineered Marseals. This photo probably dates to late 1927 or 1928, when the car was 1st registered and went to Montlhery for record breaking. Note Marendaz only has three fingers - he lost one in an accident in the works.

I am posting this reply on behalf of a previous owner of UC 3933, Patricia McKay. We owned this car 1948 - 1950, my husband was a Battle of Britain pilot in the RAF and we sold the car when we were posted overseas. We lived just outside Canterbury at that time. Happy memories!
