I have no way of verifying this, but I know that by June 1924 the bullet shaped body was on Parry Thomas' car for the Whit meeting, Brooklands.Might this be 1923 ? This may therefore be Howey's car; certainly in this shot the driver does not look like Parry Thomas, but the passenger could be him.I think this is Howey's car, unmodified exhaust, as per Thomas' first rendition of his Leyland -Thomas racer. With the bullet shaped body, the exhaust exited much higher up the bonnet, denoting his modification to the head/upper block. I am the chap with the the Leyland-Thomas No 1 recreation, with early Brooklands engine, the record-breaking Brooklands back axle, and the genuine L-t No1 exhaust manifold. Hope this helps. haywoodsycamore@aol.com/

I have now found medals for 1924 Kop Hill event for both Parry Thomas who came 3rd and JEP Howey who came 2nd so now established Howey was there and competing.
