The Lea-Francis is S Type (Hyper) chassis 14051 driven by Gordon Hendy. This is either the Long Handicap or the Mountain Handicap race - Hendy came third in the Mountain Handicap, but was unplaced in the other. Chassis 14051 was one of six S Types built for the 1928 TT, although it never competed in the event having been crashed in practice by R M V Sutton. It was entered again for the 1929 event, driven by Gordon Hendy, but did not complete the race as it overturned very shortly before the end of the event.
