I feel sure that the gentleman on the left is Woolf Barnato, who drove the Enfield-Allday no 12 in the 1922 200-Miles Race. The tea cosy hats can be seen in the start line photo posted later. The two ohv E-A's, driven by Bertelli and Barnato, were plagued with overheating problems, and Barnato and his mechanic here seem to be trying to wrench off the radiator cowl.
