This car, or one carrying this number, has been for sale on the 'Motormarques' site for 12 months or so, but is now marked as "sold". I believe it now carries a replacement body. Wonderful collection of pictures! Regards, Ashley Vincent

I owned this car in the '70s; it was largely complete and original with all its touring equipment. I think the body was number 42, and I went to great lengths to ensure that the original body was preserved, so I hope it doesn't now have a relacement body! I collected the parts for a genuine Ulster engine (I think the crankcase came from David Howe) which completed the original spec, but had to sell it (to Richard Procter) in 1977 whilst part rebuilt. I have never seen any sign of it since, I wondered what had happened to it.... Regards, Mike Costigan

Yes I did sell an 8 stud U/B crankcase to Mike for this car,if I remember correctly I took it up to a A7CA mtg.

I saw the car a couple of years ago and it was painted red with black wings. Am I right in thinking that it was originally the other way round?

I've just seen this last comment - yes, indeed, the original colour scheme was black body and wheels with red mudguards and interior trim.
