Looks like WL 24. H.K.Beaven sounds like my former father-in-law. He had an Austin 7 but a four seater. This one could have been his brother's as they often joined such rallies together. In 1937 he bought a Riley Lynx as well, this one: http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-1937-riley-lynx-driven-by-mg-shorey-1937-welsh-rally-35001631.html I don't know who the driver is but it could be that H.K. took the photo. He did a ot of this and took the fa mouse one of Raymond Mays, looking puzzled as the onside rear wheel of his Bugatti (?) takes flight over the verge of the track.
