Presumably the "KN" on the side is a repeat of the "hot as pepper" joke which Vauxhall had used on their streamlined single-seater in 1909? No disrespect to Mr B, but he doesn't exactly give the impression of being a gentleman who would put up with such levity!

A member of the Balls family have stated the letters KN were in fact Vernon Balls wife's initials.
