This is George Povey's entry, he who also produced amongst other things a heavy weight special described as a Le Mans Austin when advertised for sale a little later-index mark EOG454! An interesting character.

This is almost certainly taken at the "watersplash" on the approach to New Kineton.

I have EOG 454. Identified by Beatrice. A beautifuly built special on short chassis, originally with blown Ulster engine (possably from the car in the photo?). Alas no longer has engine but last year the person who now has the crankcase contacted me. Any information or pictures of EOG 454 desperatly required. Have photoes from previous owners around the 1940s but no info 1938 to late 1940. See Motor Sport July 1950 photo in Simmons of croydon advert £285. A previous owner, John Kirby, bought it in 1947 for £350 from a garage in Finchley where it belonged to Oscar Moors a well-known racing driver at that time. Dennis Nicholas
