The 4 1/2-litre of Sammy Davis (on the left) and Sir Ronald Gunter, which finished a very close second to Ramponi's Alfa-Romeo.

YW 2557 was one of the two works team cars fitted (by Vanden Plas) with "bob-tail" bodywork (partly-faired in tail incorporating the spare wheel). It ran at Le Mans in 1928 driven by Clement and Benjafield, but was forced to retire when the (unstrutted) chassis frame broke. Rebuilt on a new frame, it was sold to Sir Ronald Gunter, entered as a member of the works team in the 1929 Double 12, and ran again at Le Mans in June 1929 driven by Benjafield and d'Erlanger.
