Car 473 is a Fiat 501. I doubt whether my 501 would get up Lynton Hill! Note that the radiator is painted, almost all the surviving Fiat 501's have them stripped back to the brass.

You read my mind! Now I can see the nearest motorcycle may be a 500cc Ariel of 1927/28 which carried a very low slung number plate for the period
