Lovely shot of a Gordon England Brooklands with scuttle mounted sidelights and V windscreen. This must have been one of those races where open cars had to complete a certain number of laps with the hood erected. It would appear that some of the straps for the hood have not been fastened to speed up the lowering of the hood. Front number plate has been removed from the valance, they were readily detachable by a pair of wing nuts. Note the number 15 on the radiator, presumably from an earlier race.
