The building with the grille on the left hand window was my grandfather's shop on the shore at Diabaig. In 1924, my father would have been 3 years old with two older brothers. One or two of the boats in the foreground would have belonged to the family. In a previous photo in this series, the drivers are to be seen congregated on the pier at Diabaig, which was mainly paid for and built by my grandfather and some other villagers.
