Can't see the competing car very clearly, Austin. Subject to a close-up, I think A R Linsley's Bugatti. Between the Lancia Lambda and the GN to the left foreground is Winifred Pink's Aston-Martin AM 270, which was also competing.

Added another close up, it's a bit blurry though. What is the car with the long tail, (with seat?) and shiny disc wheels in the foreground?

I was afraid you'd ask that! Hopefully someone will have the answer at their fingertips. I think it appeared in the contemporary press, but it may take a bit of finding.
