After assembling in the finishing straight, the cars did a 'show' lap, of the circuit before lining up for the start at the fork. Here the third row comprises Lombard's Salmson, Wood's Temperino, Empson's AV and Marchant's Bleriot-Whippet. Gordon England's ABC can also be seen at the rear.
