No 238 to the left is G J Tait's Hyper Lea-Francis, 244 is E Wood's Swift. To the right is almost certainly no 248, A L Baker's Type 40 Bugatti. An interesting exhaust arrangement on the car behind the Lea-F.

The Lea-Francis (No 238), registered UV 870, is an S Typer (Hyper) chassis 14145, fitted with a Cross & Ellis fabric two-seater body. The car with the rather odd looking exhaust is also an S Type Lea-Francis, this time with a four-seater Cross & Ellis body. It appears to have a WK xxxx registration, but I haven’t been able to narrow it down to a specific entrant at this stage.
