Looks like a coachbuilders plate on the side of the scuttle can it be read on the glass plate?

It is a plate of some sort on the car, I can't quite read it on the plate or scan. It could possibly be 4 letters, they look like "C"s and "G"s, but I might have been looking at it for to long!
