Only one open 4 1/2-litre Bentley is shown in the pre-event list published in The Autocar, S K Thornley's Vanden Plas bodied tourer. This I think must be that car, confirmed by the photograph on p91 of Brian Smith's Vanden Plas book, registration number OX 8415, chassis no XL 3114. Would that seem correct?
