This event started, lunch-stopped and finished at the Roebuck Hotel at Buckhurst Hill, so it seems likely that this is the location of this photo. A bit difficult to identify the cars with rugs over the radiators, but one or two thoughts: 3rd from left front row is an 11.9 Lagonda. One of the two large tourers to the left in the background is probably W H Wells' 29.5hp Chandler, then two 2-litre HEs, and the large allweather to the right is L.Beadle's Waverley.
